Royal Order of Fighting Dragons

Ike’s father died in a filming accident years ago. The show had a strong fan base, some of whom went as far as to think the show was real. Ike knows better than to confuse movies with reality, and does his best to ignore the crazed fans, until he is attacked by the same giant lizards that his father died fighting. Now, he joins with the other heirs & their dragons to fight the lizards and protect the world.

The next emperor will be chosen from among the five noble families. The eldest children have prepared all their lives for this moment, but when the Call arrives, it’s their younger siblings, the illegitimate, the weak, and the servant who are called. With their dragons, the combatants must pass several tests. Only one will be crowned. The rest will be Cut.

The princess and heir to the throne, Gwendolyn expects to follow in her father’s footsteps. The king is a strong leader, with a talent for manipulating people into obedience. Gwen doesn’t believe in stories of dragons, but when one flies over her castle and speaks to her, Gwen must choose to remain allied with her father, who would kill the dragons, or to betray him and leave her sheltered and pampered life behind and seek out the dragons to discover the truth of their history and place in society for herself.
